Dedicated Nonfiction Writers
The HUB for NONFICTION
The Hub for Nonfiction, co-founded by Nonfiction Book Coaches Nina Miller and Nicole Pope, is where writers of nonfiction books and long-form genres can gather, exchange ideas, receive practical guidance and find resources to support their specific writing goals and their writing practice overall.
The Hub offers a membership and a variety of online workshops, writing intensives, and occasional free masterclasses for continuous learning.
The membership invites committed writers into a community of like-minded people - people who believe in the transformative power of writing, who know they have something to say, but who struggle with time pressures, lack of training, or just the isolation of going it alone. Members meet weekly to write, problem-solve and celebrate each other's writing.
The workshops, intensives and masterclasses target specific areas of writing craft in a format that is practical, interactive and structured to leave participants not just more knowledgeable but confident in applying what they have learned. Intensives are offered twice a year in 8-week sessions; workshops are offered every six weeks or so for 3-hour sessions; masterclasses are occasional and last for just one hour. All programs occur in real time in a video-conferenced format.
Our values
The Hub for Nonfiction springs from a passionate belief in the power of nonfiction writing to spread ideas, connection and the authentic diversity of human voices and experience. We are here to support the courage and commitment of thoughtful people who are willing to do the work of such writing, giving their best to share their wisdom and craft with readers and the world.
In an age of disinformation and AI-generated slop, we see The Hub and its writers as an oasis of integrity and hope.
We stand for:
Fostering human connection and the dissemination of expertise and experience
Promoting a diversity of voices and wisdom in a world of ever-consolidating power and culture
Continuous expansion of the knowledge base to address global challenges to human and planetary thriving
Nurturing hope in an increasingly turbulent world
Belief in the human capacity for continuous growth and transformation (whether as a writer or a reader!)
